RAD Ballet Uniform

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the world's most prestigious and influential training and education establishments for dance. If you are studying ballet under regulations set out by the RAD then you will be required to wear a specific uniform.

A dancer should always be perfectly dressed and groomed. It is part of the discipline that goes hand in hand with the dance training itself. It gives children a sense of belonging and makes them feel part of something special. Feeling prepared and ready in the "right" outfit will also greatly enhance a child's attitude towards ballet, in class.

On the practical level, the wearing of a correctly fitting leotard, for instance, enables the student to move freely, whilst helping the teacher to check and correct alignment .
